Kingston, Jamaica, 14th June, 2018.- Deputy Minister of Foreign Affair of Cuba, Rogelio Sierra Díaz, started a working visit to Jamaica as part of a tour that began last June 5th, to five Caribbean nations. Sierra Diaz is accompanied by the director for Central America, Mexico and the Caribbean affairs at the Cuban Chancery, Jorge Luís Mayo Fernández.
Jamaica is of special importance to Cuba because together with Trinidad and Tobago, Guyana and Barbados, established diplomatic relations with Cuba on December 8th, 1972.
As part of the visit´s agenda, the Cuban Deputy Foreign Minister will hold meetings with Kamina Johnson Smith, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, as well as with other authorities and personalities.
