The Deputy Minister explained the factors affecting the difficult economic situation in our country, highlighting the intensification of the US economic, commercial and financial blockade and the inclusion in the spurious and unilateral list of state sponsors of terrorism. Assured that, despite the obstacles and challenges, our government is working tirelessly to maintain the gains of the Revolution.
Vidal Ferreiro highlighted how, despite the campaign orchestrated by US imperialism against medical collaboration, Caribbean nations recognise the decisive role of Cuban health professionals within their health systems.
Members of the mission exchanged professional experiences in the education and health sectors acquired on Jamaican soil and ratified their commitment to continue putting the name of Cuba on high in their workplaces.
The Cuban diplomat arrived the day before to participate in the XI United Kingdom-Caribbean Forum, an event that took place in the morning hours in the Jamaican capital.
