Dr. Marcia Cobas and the delegation that accompanied her were received at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration by the Deputy Minister, Mr. Charles Owiredu.
During the talks, the parties highlighted the favorable state of bilateral diplomatic relations, which began in 1959, and the 35 years of cooperation in the health sector.
The Cuban Deputy Minister conveyed to the Ghanaian side the interest of her country to strengthen bilateral cooperation in the field of Health, and ratified the commitment of the members of the Cuban Medical Brigade, who are working in Ghana, to continue guaranteeing quality medical care for the Ghanaian people.
The Ambassador of Cuba, Pedro Luis Despaigne González and the head of the Cuban Medical Brigade, Dr. Ana Lubín García, were also present at the meeting.
