Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment begins a working visit to Saudi Arabia

Riyadh, October 5th – The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Trade and Investment, Ricardo Cabrisas Ruiz, began a working visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, as part of a regional tour and leading a large delegation made up of executives from several Cuban ministries and institutions.

The main host of the delegation will be the Saudi Ministry of Tourism, although it will also hold meetings with other high authorities and institutions of the Kingdom, to review the state of commercial, financial and cooperation relations in different spheres with this Arab nation.

During the last period, bilateral relations between Cuba and Saudi Arabia have benefited from an increase in the exchange of visits by their respective authorities at the ministerial level, which has made it possible to foresee new possibilities for exchange and cooperation between the two countries.

This visit will be a good opportunity to express the gratitude of the Cuban Government and people to the Saudi authorities for the funds granted to carry out several projects with an important social impact on the Island.

Likewise, it will be a magnificent opportunity to ratify the will expressed by both governments to raise economic, commercial and cooperation ties to the same level as the outstanding political-diplomatic relations, which have had a favorable evolution since it was decided to open the embassies in the respective capitals.
