Deputy Prime Minister of Cuba held exchange organized by the Chamber of Commerce of the Great Harlem.

New York, July 19th, 2023.- Last Monday, July 17th, Deputy Prime Minister  and Minister of Economy and Planning, Alejandro Gil Fernández, participated at a meeting organized by the Chamber of Commerce of the Great Harlem (GHCC).

This exchange, held at The City College of New York (CCNY), higher education centre in Manhattan, was attended by representatives from enterprises, university institutions, organizations and others. The presence of former US Congress representative Charles B Rangel, was a highlight. 

The Deputy Prime Minister offered updated information and exchanged with the participants on the situation of Cuban economy, the impact of the unjust United States blockade and on the opportunities for business by the Greater of the Antilles in trade and foreign investment.

The Cuban delegation was composed also by ambassadors Gerardo Peñalver Portal, first deputy minister of Foreign Affairs and Permanent Representative to the United Nations, and Yuri Gala López, Deputy Permanent Representative, as well as officials from the Ministry of Economy and Planning and the Cuban Permanent Mission to UN.
