Deputy Speaker of the Ugandan Parliament hosts the Ambassador of Cuba

Kampala. On the morning of October 25, the Honorable Thomas Tayebwa, Deputy Speaker of the Parliament of the Republic of Uganda, received Ambassador Tania Pérez Xiqués, at the headquarters of the legislative body.

The Cuban Ambassador thanked the meeting and updated the parliamentary leader on the state of Uganda-Cuba bilateral relations and the preparations for the celebration of 50 years of diplomatic relations in 2024.

For his part, the Honorable Tayebwa pointed out the actions planned by parliament to strengthen cooperation with the National Assembly of People's Power of Cuba and contribute to the consolidation of political and economic-commercial relations between both countries.
