This Saturday, the Cuban Baseball Federation (FCB) issued a statement in which it reported that the island was marginalized from attending that event, to be held from February 1 to 7 in Puerto Rico, due to pressure from the United States.

The governing body of baseball in Cuba remarked that the reasons mentioned by the CBPC were "supposed difficulties with the time available to process US visas, necessary to travel to Puerto Rico."

According to the FCB, the president of the CBPC, Juan Puello, stressed that 'in no way are the Cuban people, their authorities, or their athletes, the reason for this decision, because the context is duly established and escapes his control '.

The decision of the CBPC is produced by yielding to the arbitrary pressures of the United States government and adds to other deceptive actions of its Commissioner, who has also hindered Cuba's full membership in this genuinely Caribbean organization, denounced the FCB.

Add the note that by preventing, not ensuring the conditions and withdrawing the possibility of Cuba participating in the next edition of the Caribbean Series, the Commissioner of the CBPC also informed the FCB that the Assembly of that body decided to invite another delegation You will have your assistance guaranteed.

The FCB urged the 'Commissioner of the CBPC to carry out the necessary steps to ensure the participation of our delegation' in the Caribbean Series of Puerto Rico, and also reiterated its aspiration and right to fully reintegrate into the CBPC.
