Díaz-Canel denounces persistent U.S. hostility against Cuba.

Cuba's President Miguel Díaz-Canel today denounced the persistent hostility of the United States against his country, a nation he described as truly independent, peaceful and supportive.

"The anti-Cuban machinery is determined to bring the Cuba issue to the U.S. electoral campaign, taking advantage of the corruption and lies of the process," the president said in his official account on X.

On Thursday, Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez informed that in recent days, U.S. politicians and the State Department are determined to slander the island, in a desperate search for electoral support from the anti-Cuban mafia.

Rodriguez stressed that these actions seek to justify the cruel and absurd policy of economic asphyxiation of the Cuban people.

Authorities of the Caribbean nation revealed last Monday details of an infiltration operation, financed from the United States, aimed at carrying out attacks against economic, social and military objectives with destabilizing purposes.

According to Colonel Víctor Álvarez, second chief of the Specialized Body of the General Directorate of Criminal Investigation of the Ministry of the Interior, facts like this have been repeatedly denounced to the US authorities without any action being taken.

According to analysts, the double standards of the U.S. government in dealing with such a sensitive issue as terrorism expose the true essence of the policy with which successive U.S. administrations have tried, for more than six decades, to overthrow the Cuban Revolution.
