Cuba calls for a day for peace and against the U.S. blockade.

The Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP) today called on people of good will in the world to join the next Day for Peace, against the Blockade and Terrorism.

The initiative will run from September 4 until the vote at the United Nations General Assembly this year on the draft resolution on the need to end the U.S. blockade against Cuba.

Cuba is grateful for the support of friends and nationals against the U.S. blockade.

Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez welcomed the international day against the U.S. blockade of Cuba, organized by friends and compatriots of the island in several cities around the world.

The Cuban Foreign Minister published on the social network X images of activists against the anti-Cuban policy of the White House, and assured that in the face of injustice, the solidarity of those who march with Cuba will always shine.

Solidarity brigade begins tour of eastern Cuba

The 99 brigadistas from 20 states of the northern nation will make contact with communities, visit historical centers and carry out volunteer work, on the 55th anniversary of the creation of the Venceremos de Solidaridad con Cuba brigade.

Díaz-Canel denounces persistent U.S. hostility against Cuba.

Cuba's President Miguel Díaz-Canel today denounced the persistent hostility of the United States against his country, a nation he described as truly independent, peaceful and supportive.

"The anti-Cuban machinery is determined to bring the Cuba issue to the U.S. electoral campaign, taking advantage of the corruption and lies of the process," the president said in his official account on X.

Worldwide rejection of Cuba's inclusion in the U.S. list grows.

Almost fifty governments of the world have rejected as of today the inclusion of Cuba in the State Department's list of countries that sponsor terrorism, informed the Foreign Ministry of this Antillean nation.

To the claim are added the repudiation pronouncements of movements, organizations, institutions, activists and international personalities, who qualify that designation as unjust and arbitrary, and denounce its consequences on the Cuban nation and families.

Progressive International demands the removal of Cuba from the terrorist list.

More than 250 organizations globally, grouped in the Progressive International (PI), founded in the United States in 2018, today demand the immediate removal of Cuba from the list of countries sponsoring terrorism.

"Cuba is not a sponsor of terrorism" stated the PI in an appeal letter published on the social network X when explaining that the Caribbean nation is indeed a sponsor, but of health, peace and liberation.

Tourism in Cuba is affected by the U.S. blockade.

Tourism authorities in Cuba today strongly criticized the hindrance that the U.S. blockade against the island represents for the travel industry.

A report published in the Granma newspaper on Wednesday points out that it is a limitation that exists. They mention that the Cuban tourism industry, as a driving force for other sectors, has a fundamental impact on the implementation of the National Economic and Social Development Plan and the achievement of the 2030 Agenda and its goals.

Effects of U.S. policy against Cuba described as genocidal

The deputy director general of the U.S. Directorate of the Cuban Foreign Ministry, Johana Tablada, today described as genocidal the inclusion of Cuba in the unilateral list of countries that allegedly sponsor terrorism.

In an interview to the Caribbean Channel of national television, the diplomat explained that the recent exclusion of the island from a list of nations that "do not fully cooperate in the fight against terrorism" does not mean its elimination from the general list of the State Department that imposes measures against this Caribbean country.
