Vientiane September 2023. The Cuban Diplomatic Mission, collaborators, Cuban resident and friends from the Lao Front for National Dvelopment in the Lao People's Democratic Republic, sent greetings and congratulations to the member of the Central Committee of the CCP, and of the Council of State and National Coordinator of the Committees for the Defense of the Revolution (CDR), Gerardo Hernández Nordelo, after his reelection as head of the organization and successful development of the 10th Congress.
The event that concluded their substantial debates, had as its priority the revitalization of the work of the Committees and the community in their social environment.
Likewise, at the closing of the congress, President Miguel Diaz Canel called for people to be more proactive in the main tasks that concern society and the fight against crime, corruption, and bureaucracy, among others. He spoke out to continue the work aimed at achieving greater autonomy of the territories and the bodies of popular power at the local level, which requires collectively assuming these challenges by the greatest possible number of people who express, through actions, their commitment to the Cuban socialist project.
The 10th Congress of the Committees for the Defense of the Revolution was attended by 475 delegates, as well as guests from several international delegations, including Mexico, Spain, Venezuela, Brazil, the United States, Russia and Ecuador.
