Director of the Americas division of the Malaysian Foreign Ministry receives a Cuban ambassador

Kuala Lumpur, January 14 - The director of the Americas of the Malaysian Foreign Ministry, Mr. Amarjit Singh received the Cuban ambassador in that country, Ibete Fernández Hernández.

During the meeting the diplomats reviewed the work agenda for the year 2020, which will have as its most important event the commemoration of the 45th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations with Malaysia.

Diplomatic ties between the two countries were established on February 6, 1975. The Commander in Chief, Fidel Castro and the current Prime Minister, Tun Dr Mahathir, were architects in their consolidation.
