Kingston, Jamaica, 8th November, 2018.- Director for Consular Affairs and Cuban Residents Abroad at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ernesto Soberón Guzmán, held a fraternal meeting with a representation of Cuban residents in Jamaica and members of the Association "Antonio Maceo", the Embassy of Cuba in Kingston.
During the meeting, Soberon Guzman highlighted the positive impact of the measures adopted to update the migratory policy and stressed on the continuity and irreversible character of said process. Likewise, the Cuban diplomat reiterated the willingness to further strengthen the ties between Cuba and its emigrés.
The exchange was warmly welcomed by the participants who, apart from sharing on different issues, ratified their love for Cuba and the permanent compromise to continue strengthening the links with the Homeland.
The ocassion also serve to inform on the celebration of the IV Meeting of Cuban Residents in Latin America and the Caribbean, in Mexico, next 2019.
Ernesto Soberón Guzmán eaded his country delegation to the II Round of Migratory Talks, held in this capital during 6th and 7th November.
