St George, February 27. Between February 23 and 27, Dr. Michael Cabrera Laza, Director of the Central Medical Cooperation Unit, made a working visit to the Island of Granada. The Director was received on behalf of the Minister, by Dr. Shawn Charles. Medical Director of the Ministry of Health of Grenada. In the exchange, topics related to the continuity of the Collaboration in Grenada and joint work for the renewal of the cooperation agreement were addressed.
Dr. Cabrera was accompanied by two auditors who will evaluate the management of the Cuban Medical Brigade and compliance with the Collaboration Agreement with Grenada. As part of his activities, he held an exchange with all members of the Brigade, updating them on national and other issues specific to the collaboration. At the end of the meeting, the newly incorporated doctors signed the Code of Ethics for Cuban government officials.
The delegation toured the different areas of the St George General Hospital where the Cuban doctors work, and the residence facilities, verifying the good logistical conditions that are guaranteed to them.
Ambassador Ivette Martínez, the head of the Medical Brigade Dr. Mabel León and Consul Alexander Quintana accompanied the visitor in his meetings and tours.
