Copenhagen, April 3, 2023. ICAP's European Director, Rigoberto Lázaro Zarza Ross, at the closing ceremony of the Annual Meeting of the Friendship Association, recognized President Sven Erik, and all its members, for the Solidarity work carried out after long years of solidarity support for the Cuban Revolution from Denmark.
The Cuban representative read a Letter from the President of ICAP, Fernando González Llort, in which the tasks and commitments of the Danish friends are distinguished, which have been decisive in the mobilization of the solidarity movement, with other forces, as occurred during the Campaign for the release of the Five, or the permanent denunciation to put an end to the cruel and unjust blockade against Cuba, at a time when its persecution is becoming more acute, after the inclusion of our country in the list of State sponsors of terrorism.
Participation in the event was a propitious occasion for the Cuban ICAP delegation, also made up of Elizabeth Ribalta Rubiera, a specialist from the Euronorte Group, to hold exchanges with the President of the Communist Party (KP), and the communist youth organization DKU, present at the reference meeting.
The participation of the Cuban delegation in this act coincides with the final stage of a tour of the Nordic region, where they held various political and diplomatic exchanges.
The meeting of the Association concluded with a new and renewed Board of Directors, made up of four young people, and one Cuban, among all its members.
During the meeting, the Ambassador of Cuba, Roger López García, and the Head of the Consular Office, Eneida Lemus Zellero, were present at the event.
