Kampala. On the morning of March 21, Ambassador Phillip Odida, General Director of International and Regional Political Cooperation of the Ugandan Foreign Ministry, received the Cuban Ambassador Tania Perez Xiqués.
In this new meeting, the Cuban diplomat reiterated her congratulations to Uganda for the results of the G-77 and Non-Aligned Movement Summits and the gratitude of the government and people of Cuba for Uganda's support for the African Union Resolution demanding the lifting of the United States blockade against Cuba and the exclusion of Cuba from the list of countries supposedly sponsoring terrorism.
Likewise, bilateral work projects to be developed in the year in which Cuba and Uganda celebrate 50 years of the establishment of diplomatic relations were evaluated.
