Thailand, June 5, 2017. The Director General of the Thai International Cooperation Agency, Suphatra Srimaitreephithak, received the Ambassador of Cuba to Thailand, Héctor Conde Almeida.
In the cordial meeting the good path of bilateral relations was confirmed, with special reference to the historical significance of the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries to be celebrated in May 2018.
The current actions and the development potential of bilateral cooperation in the fields of biotechnological applications, science, technology and environment, nanosciences, health and education were discussed. The importance of exchanges between the two countries in these key sectors was assessed as a meaningful contribution to the successful implementation of national development strategies and to the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
Both sides expressed their commitment to continue working to strengthen cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
