Harare, January 22, 2026 – The Ambassador of Cuba, Her Excellency Susellys Pérez Mesa, met with the new Director for the Americas and Europe at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Trade of Zimbabwe, Livit Mugejo.
Pérez Mesa and Mugejo reviewed current bilateral projects and the legal framework under which work was carried out during 2025 to strengthen relations in various areas.
The Director of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs conveyed condolences to the Caribbean nation for the 32 comrades who died in the line of duty in Venezuela during the US aggression.
The occasion provided an opportunity to discuss future developments and upcoming ministerial visits to Cuba.
They also discussed various issues related to the current complex international landscape and reaffirmed the excellent state of relations between the two countries.
