Egyptian channel NILE TV broadcast live the Cuban Foreign Minister's speech at the High-Level Segment of the UNGA

Cairo, September 27, 2025. The Egyptian channel NILE TV International broadcast live the speech by the Cuban Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bruno Rodríguez, at the High-Level Segment of the 80th United Nations General Assembly.

In his speech, the Cuban diplomat denounced the intensification of the genocidal blockade against the island. “This is a true, comprehensive, and prolonged economic war, aimed at depriving Cubans of their livelihoods and sustainability, of their existence as a united, cultured, and joyful people,” Rodriguez Parrilla stated.

He also rejected the unjustified inclusion of Cuba on the spurious list of state sponsors of terrorism. He emphasized that Cuba has been a victim of U.S. state terrorism for decades and denounced the fact that even today, terrorist acts against our country are organized and financed from U.S. territory.

The Cuban foreign minister reiterated Cuba's condemnation of the genocide in Gaza and its strongest solidarity with the Palestinian people and their just cause for freedom, independence, and an end to the Zionist occupation.

Rodríguez Parrilla also referred to the dangerous situation in Caribbean waters due to the military deployment carried out by the US government, which includes naval and air assets with missiles and nuclear submarines, which are offensive in nature and completely unjustified. At the same time, he reaffirmed the strongest rejection of threats of aggression against Venezuela and full support for the Bolivarian and Chavista government of that sister Latin American and Caribbean nation.
