Cairo, February 5, 2026. The Nasserist Party and the Popular Socialist Alliance Party expressed their support and solidarity with Cuba in the face of new threats from the Trump administration against the independence and sovereignty of the Greater Antilles.
In meetings held by Cuban Ambassador Alexander Pellicer Moraga with the top leaders of both political parties, they discussed the complex situation in Cuba due to the intensification of the blockade and the fascist and genocidal policy implemented by the US government against the Cuban people.
Egyptian friends recognized Cuba's 67 years of resistance against US imperialism, as well as the example the island sets for peoples around the world who are fighting for their independence and sovereignty. During the exchanges, they discussed the need to create a global front of progressive forces to stop the fascism that today threatens all of humanity, and to take action to inform the Egyptian people about the reality of Cuba.
Cuba is not alone; it has the support of many friends around the world, friends who are willing to raise their voices to defend Cuba against imperialist aggression. (Embacuba Egipto)
