Westmorland School celebrated its graduation ceremony with the special presence of the Ambassador of Cuba to Grenada, Yadirys Echenique Paz, and the Cuban Consul, Ariel Pazos Ortiz, invited by the school’s administration. The occasion served as a space to recognize the academic efforts of the students and to reaffirm the bonds of friendship between Cuba and Grenada.
During the ceremony, Cuban students Reinaldo Cruz Santos and Andrea Quintana Martínez were distinguished for their performance at the institution. Their achievements were highlighted by the school authorities as examples of dedication and commitment.
The participation of Cuban diplomats in the event also reflects Cuba’s longstanding commitment to academic development in Grenada, an area in which Cuba has played a key role for decades through scholarship programs, literacy projects, and the training of Grenadian professionals in Cuban universities.
