Kingston, Jamaica, 27 September 2020. The collective of the Cuban Embassy in Jamaica decided to celebrate the 60th Anniversary of the Committees for the Defense of the Revolution with voluntary work, aiming to improve the living and working conditions of its personnel.
The " object of the work " was the 21.6 sqm roof of the area shared by the premises’ security cabin and the reception. The initiative resulted in significant savings for the Mission.
This contribution is also a response from the collective of the Cuban Embassy in Jamaica to the call of our president, comrade Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, to think as a country and a reliable demonstration that “Yes, we can do it.”
Founded on September 28, 1960 at the initiative of the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro Ruz, the Committees for the Defense are a genuine creation of the Cuban revolutionary process and an expression of popular participation in constructing and safeguarding it.
