MESSAGE FROM THE FRIENDSHIP ASSOCIATION NORWAY-CUBA
Today, January 1st, we mark the 65th anniversary of the victory of the Cuban Revolution. This day in 1959 Fidel Castro and his comrades organized in the 26/7 movement succeeded in overthrowing the Batista dictatorship.
We send our congratulations to the Cuban people as they celebrate both the anniversary of the Revolution and the New Year in a very demanding time with a lack of many things -primarily caused by the 60-year-long economic war against Cuba. A price Cuba pays up to today for standing up for its independence and refusing to be cowed by its powerful neighbor to the north!
MESSAGE FROM THE COMMUNIST PARTY OF NORWAY
The Communist Party of Norway would like to wish you a happy new year in the service of peace and revolution, and wish you good luck for the anniversary of the revolution.

MESSAGE FROM MAYO BUSTOS, MEMBER OF THE BOARD OF THE FRIENDSHIP ASSOCIATION NORWAY-CUBA AND THE COMMUNIST PARTY OF NORWAY (NKP)
I would like to greet and congratulate you on the occasion of the 65th Anniversary of the Triumph of the Revolution led by the beloved Commander Fidel Castro.
There have been decades after decades of struggle and above all of a strong and solid determination of the Cuban people, its government and the Communist Party of Cuba to defend and maintain the independence and sovereignty of this worthy nation.
There is no nation in the world that could have resisted 65 years of permanent aggression by its closest neighbor, the most powerful imperialist power on earth, with an army spread over all the continents of the globe and in possession of the largest nuclear weapons in the world.
The recent year 2023 has been very difficult and hard for Cuba. A situation that is reflected in the diversity of the daily life of the Cuban people and their usual needs. This extremely serious situation is worsened by the imposition of the blockade by the United States and their Western lackeys whose result of hostile policies constitutes the main origin and obstacle to the development not only for the Cuban people but for any country in the world that is affected by such a criminal and cowardly policy of economic blockade.
I am very aware that one of the main goals of International Solidarity is to support Cuba in the fight against the economic, commercial and financial blockade of the United States in all its forms of expression.
At the same time and of equal importance is working and raising awareness in the context of Norwegian political life of the growing rejection in the world of Washington's decision to include Cuba on the list of State sponsors of terrorism.
At the international level, a new and great victory for Cuba was the overwhelming condemnation at the UN of this criminal, economic, commercial and financial policy maintained for more than six decades.
Receive a big hug and congratulations on the 65th Anniversary of the Revolution!
New year, new challenges and struggles and new Victories!
Long live Proletarian Internationalism and Friendship between the peoples of the world!
