Accra, June 13, 2025. - The Second Secretary of the Cuban Embassy in Ghana, Mr. Yamil Eduardo Martinez Marrero, acting Chargé d'Affaires, had the opportunity to participate in several events organized by the Hispanic Club and the Spanish Section of the University of Ghana, in the framework of the celebration of the Hispanic Week.
With the theme “Learning without borders, connecting with the Spanish-speaking world”, the celebration comprised activities from June 9th to 13th, entirely organised by the young students at the Reginald Amonoo building.
The Cuban diplomat had the opportunity to thank for the invitation and encourage the youngsters to use the learning of the Spanish language not only as a way to access new sources of knowledge and culture, but also as a way to become better human beings and more empathetic to differences, in aspiring to a world of peace.
Activities included workshops, a film show, a food fair, theatrical performances and an afternoon of games, among other events. The inauguration ceremony was also attended by the Ambassador of Spain to Ghana, H.E. Mr. Ángel Lossada Torres-Quevedo.
