Embassy of Cuba participates in the inauguration of the Second Spanish Language Week in Singapore

Singapore, September 23rd, 2024. The inauguration of the Second Spanish Week at the National Library of Singapore was a special moment to bring the public of the City-State closer to the History and Culture of Spain and Latin America and the Caribbean. The event was attended by Mr. Shawn Huang, Senior Parliamentary Secretary of the Ministry of Education.

Our best writers crossed the seas and times and came through our children, who, as our Apostle stated, "They are the Hope of the World."

In Cuba, the girl Gabriela Quesada Quesada read the translation of Emerson's fable "Each one to his office" published in Spanish in the children's magazine "The Golden Age" by our National Hero José Martí.

Emblematic books from Cuba in English were also donated, on Cuban History, Culture and Culinary.

A special afternoon that culminated in a talented Mexican artist Carla Cardenal, who performed songs by our authors, including "Lágrimas Negras" by Miguel Matamoros.

A special afternoon that shortened the geographical and cultural distances between our continents and countries.
