Abuja, May 20th, 2021. With a heart full of emotion, the Cuban ambassador to Nigeria, Clara M. Pulido Escandell, received Charisa Ufedojo, a young Nigerian woman who dreams of being a doctor, at the headquarters of the Cuban diplomatic mission.
More than one hundred young Nigerians have graduated from Cuban universities, in different specialties, such as medicine, veterinary medicine, computer science, mathematics and physical culture and sports. They are currently stationed in different centers of the country contributing to their people and they thank Cuba for the support provided to achieve their professional and personal goals.
It is the dignified way in which solidarity, friendship and collaboration can develop between peoples. With this, the Cuban embassy wants to recognize Africa Day on May 25, and the idea of Commander Fidel Castro, "Doctors and not bombs."
Present at the meeting were the young woman's parents, Doctor Onuche Audu, a Cuban graduate and specialist in gynecology, and the Counselor of the Cuban Embassy Pavel Bauzá Fusté.
