The Embassy deeply values this gesture of solidarity, respect, and fraternity, which reflects the historic bonds of friendship between the peoples of Cuba and Türkiye, as well as their shared commitment to the principles of sovereignty, justice, and dignity.
Cuba reiterates its recognition of the steadfast support of Turkish friends in defending the truth and the right of the Cuban people to live free from unilateral coercive measures.

The Blockade Will Be Condemned Once Again!
The vote taking place this week at the United Nations General Assembly will once again reaffirm to the world that the economic, commercial, and financial blockade imposed on Cuba by the United States must end.
This vote — in which the overwhelming majority of the world’s nations have voted “no” to the blockade for decades — will once again demonstrate that the inhumane policies imposed on the Cuban people constitute a crime of genocide.
The blockade, brutally enforced by the United States for more than sixty years, remains the greatest obstacle to the development of the Cuban economy and to the prosperity and peace that the Cuban people deserve. This U.S. tyranny lacks any legal or moral justification.
The accusation that “Cuba supports terrorism,” used as a pretext for the blockade, stands as a stark reminder of the shamelessness of U.S. imperialism, which has shed blood across the world. One of Cuba’s greatest virtues is that it has always extended a hand of solidarity to humanity. The sole purpose of this policy of lies and aggression, carried out for over six decades, is to subjugate the Cuban people and recolonize this honorable nation.
However, what will once again determine the outcome of this week’s vote at the UN General Assembly is the steadfast resistance of the Cuban people.
Like all peoples of the world, the working people of Türkiye support Cuba’s just struggle against the blockade.
Cuba must be immediately removed from the so-called “list of state sponsors of terrorism,” and the blockade must end unconditionally.
Down with the blockade!
Long live the honorable resistance of the Cuban people!
Long live internationalist solidarity!
