Embassy of Cuba in Zambia commemorates the 65th Anniversary of the Triumph of the Revolution.

Lusaka, January 8, 2024. The day the leader of the Cuban Revolution Fidel Castro arrived in Havana in the Freedom Caravan along with members of the Rebel Army, the Cuban Embassy in Zambia carried out an activity celebrate the 65th Anniversary of the Triumph of the Cuban Revolution on January 1, 1959, in the company of a representation of diplomats, parliamentarians, officials, businessmen, Cuban residents, former Zambian graduates in Cuba, other personalities and friends of solidarity with our country.

During the commemorative activity, a short allegorical video of the triumph of the Cuban Revolution was projected and the images released in the Central Act for the Anniversary of the Revolution held in the city of Santiago de Cuba on January 1, 2024, with the presence of Army General Raúl Castro Ruz, Leader of the Cuban Revolution, and the First Secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba and President of the Republic, Miguel Mario Diaz-Canel Bermúdez.

The Ambassador of Cuba in Zambia, Marileydis Dueñas Morales focused her intervention on the heroes, roots, history, achievements in health, sports, culture, solidarity, justice and sovereignty that have led to these 65 years of Revolution, despite the challenges and difficulties that we face due to the intensified economic, commercial and financial blockade in an uncertain international context. Likewise, the call of Cuban President for united efforts to move forward correct distortions and boost the economy of the Island, despite the blockade and imperialist aggression with the conviction as Army General Raúl Castro Ruz, said that we are going to overcome these difficulties, as we have always done by fighting.
