Nassau, January 17th, 2020. The Ambassador of Cuba to the Commonwealth of The Bahamas Alejandro García del Toro met with members of the Taíno Ltd.; a group aimed to promote cultural and heritage conservation actions in this archipelago.
The CEO’s of the Bahamian entity expressed their interest to accomplish, with the participation of the Cuban Cultural Assets Fund, the installation of a Taíno village in the Clifton Heritage Park, in Nassau. This would be similar to the one located in Guamá, Matanzas. Along to this project, Taíno Ltd wishes to set a joint space with the Cuban Cultural Assets Fund and the Office of the Havana City Historian for the transfer of knowledge and experiences on heritage conservation.
The group Taíno Ltd. expressed their gratitude to the Cuban institutions and the Embassy for the support provided to this project since 2018. For the Cuban embassy, the First Secretary Yusimí Pompa Santos accompanied the Ambassador.
