For 24 uninterrupted hours, we will raise our voices to denounce the policy of blockade, economic strangulation, and ongoing aggression imposed by the United States government against Cuba and other peoples of Latin America and the Caribbean.
This Media Marathon is a collective effort to make visible to the world the immoral and cowardly nature of imperialist policies that attempt to subjugate the sovereignty of nations through sanctions, disinformation campaigns, and unilateral coercive measures.
The Marathon will also mark the 65th anniversary of the Cuban people's victory against the mercenary invasion at the Bay of Pigs in 1961, a historic feat that reaffirmed Cuba's right to self-determination and sovereignty.
That victory demonstrated that people, when they defend their dignity, are capable of defeating any aggression.
