EXPONTANEOUS DAYS OF SOLIDARITY WITH CUBA FROM IRELAND.

Dublin, April 17, 2023. Once again, Irish in solidarity with the Cuban Revolution and Cuban residents made clear, from different points of the geography of Ireland and with various initiatives, their solidarity and support against the blockade and the hostile policy of the United States against Cuba.  Within the framework of the visit of the US President to the Island, Joe Biden, held from April 11 to 14, several solidarity organizations and national political parties raised Cuban flags and banners rejecting the cruel blockade, its inclusion in the list of the Department of State of countries sponsoring terrorism and in general, the hostility of the government of that country against the heroic island of the Antilles.

As the Cuban news agency Prensa Latina commented on April 12, who was going to tell the US president that a gigantic Cuban flag would appear in the first images of Belfast upon his arrival in Northern Ireland, adding that the Irish friends of the Caribbean island, in solidarity with their people and with their social development project, placed the national insignia on the crest of the Black Mountain, a hill near the airport, which was clearly visible from the hatch of their plane.

Prensa Latina added that, if the president did not see it, surely some of the members of his team did, so it is also to be assumed that the message of the defenders of Cuba, of the enemies of the blockade and of the hostile policy of Washington to the unredeemed nation came through loud and clear.

But without a doubt, beyond the celebration, the head of the US government will not be able to remain oblivious to the calls in defense of Cuba and Palestine. Nor should he leave without accepting that similar complaints will persecute him in any part of the world, because Cuba is not alone in the face of injustice, according to the Cuban agency's office.

Biden arrived in Ireland to participate in activities for the 25th anniversary of the Good Friday Agreement to end the conflict in the north of the island.
