Islamabad, October 9, 2026. The Progressive Students Federation (PrSF) held a solidarity activity in commemoration of the figure of the Heroic Guerrilla, Ernesto Che Guevara, and in total rejection of the U.S. blockade.
The activity, organized at the Embassy of Cuba, managed to bring together students and academics from other sectors, members of solidarity groups such as the Pakistan-Cuba Social Forum, the Awami (People's) Workers Party, and the Association of Pakistani Doctors Graduated in the Caribbean Nation.
Several speakers from each of the aforementioned representations spoke about the figure of Che, his commitment and struggle for the destitute, his internationalist significance and legacy, his unwavering friendship with Fidel and his infinite loyalty to the leader of the Cuban Revolution, as well as his denunciation, in all forums, of the hegemonic policies of imperialism.
The speakers also recalled Cuba's solidarity when, in October 2005, thousands of Cuban health specialists arrived in Pakistani lands to save lives following the devastating earthquake of October 8.
A moment of special significance was the denunciation of the ruthless blockade suffered by the Cuban nation, with the energy siege and permanent sanctions imposed on it by the United States government. The demand was unanimous: Cuba is not a threat, the blockade is!.
