Dublin, October 13, 2020. We are pleased to share with you details about the ninth edition of the ISLA (Irish, Spanish Latin American) Festival that under the general title "Lost and Recovered Paradises" will be held from October 15 to 17, this time in a virtual version.

ISLA is a festival of culture and letters from Ireland, Spain and Latin America that celebrates the diversity and richness of the Spanish-speaking world and its interactions in Ireland, in this edition through a series of videos with participants from Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Cuba, Ireland, Northern Ireland, Mexico, Peru and Spain. The videos will have audios in Spanish, English and Irish, with subtitles in other languages.

ISLA is organized by the Cervantes Institute of Dublin in collaboration with the embassies of the participating countries accredited in Dublin, among other important sponsors and the essential participation of writers, poets, musicians and artists invited to this virtual festival, which includes Irish writers John Connolly and Christine Dwyer Hickey, the Spanish composer and cellist Iris Azquinezer, the actress Enriqueta Carballeira, the Mexican Cristina Rivera Garza, the Chilean journalist and storyteller Matías Celedón, the Argentine illustrator and graphic humorist Miguel Antonio Repiso (Rep), a the Northern Irish writer Jan Carson and her translator into Spanish Clara Ministral, the poets Catherine Ann Cullen (Ireland), Nancy Morejón (Cuba) and Andrea Cote (Colombia), as well as the writer of children's and young people's literature, Begoña Oro (Spain ) and the Peruvian-Irish physician Jackelina Pando Kelly.

The performance of the poet Nancy Morejón is scheduled for October 16 at 6:00 p.m.

With this performance, the Cuban Embassy welcomes the days for Cuban Culture that are held from October 10 to 20.
