Vientiane, November 2023. Cuban Ambassador Enna Viant Valdés made an unforgettable visit to the province of Houaphanh, within the framework of the commemorative activities of the 7th. Anniversary. The Ambassador was received by the acting governor Khampheng Saysompheng, the president of the Lao National Development Front, Vongphet Kietsinghuk, and the deputy speaker of the Lao Assembly, Somsak Dobchanith of that province.
Viant Valdés informed his counterparts of the socio-economic situation on the island and recent international achievements, including the holding of the G77-China Summit, as well as the approval for the 31st time of the Cuban resolution against the blockade.
At another time, the diplomat expressed her gratitude to the authorities for the friendly welcome to that province, which had the support of Cuban medical cooperation and provided important services to the population of that place in the midst of the fierce bombings of the United States, which came to launch more than 2 million tons against the defenseless people of that district.
