On July 22nd, the Chargé d'Affaires a.i. from the Embassy of Cuba in Egypt, Jorge Mazón Rodríguez, and the Administrative Attaché, Leyda Machado Oramas, took part in the celebration of the First Edition of the International Students’ Day in the University of the Suez Canal, in Ismailia, under the slogan “Together in Suez Canal University.”
Diplomatic representations from different countries also participated in the event, which received the University's shield from its Principal Prof. Dr. Tarek R. Rahmy.
In addition, the work of each of the faculties from the University and the possibilities of cooperation with foreign universities were promoted and a cultural activity was presented, where the artistic talent of amateur students could be appreciated.
At the end of the day a visit was made to the Suez Canal, where participants toured the new expanded canal.
