First Five Pakistani Students Receive Assignment Letters to Study in Cuba

Islamabad, July 14, 2026. An emotional gathering took place at the Cuban Embassy in this capital with the first five Pakistani students selected as part of the scholarship program to pursue university studies in Cuba. Of 11 scholarships awarded to Pakistan, five students—who will study medicine—have already completed the initial steps.

During their meeting with Ambassador Damián Cordero, the entire process was explained to them in detail, including the code of ethics for international students. They also signed the assignment letter certifying them as scholarship recipients.

All expressed satisfaction and high hopes regarding this opportunity for study and personal growth.
