Vientiane, May, 2024. The Embassy of Cuba together with the Lao National University, participated in the First Scientific Workshop on the occasion of the celebration of half a century of consistent relations. The event held in the facilities of this high educational and academic center, was honored with the presence of the deputy minister of the Ministry of Education and Sports, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sourioudong Sundara and the president of NUOL Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dexanourath Seneduangdeth to whom Other renowned directors of the deanery, professors and students joined.
Another moment to highlight the important date was the awarding of the "Cuba-Laos 50 Years of Friendship and Cooperation" contest.
The important workshop that evaluated, among several topics, the perspectives of bilateral relations and the will to strengthen its, was accompanied by senior officials representing the Party, the Foreign Ministry, the Ministry of Education and Sports, the Lao National University and the Laos-Cuba Friendship Association.
In his closing remarks, Dr. Dexanourath Seneduangdeth underlined the supportive, friendly nature and permanent cooperation of bilateral relations between both countries, whose 50th anniversary is being celebrated with the perspective of continuing to expand them.
