The First Secretary of the Cuban Embassy in Türkiye, Oscar Redondo, was received by the Head of the Department of International Relations of the Faculty of Political Science of Ankara University, Prof. Dr. Melek Fırat who was accompanied by Dr. Mr. Nuri Yesilyurt.
They exchanged on the collaboration between Ankara University and Cuban higher education institutions, with emphasis on the University of Havana. They discussed the possibility of further rapprochement on the basis of mentoring Turkish undergraduate and graduate students interested in developing research on Cuba and Latin America.
They also discussed the prospects of a broader academic collaboration, focusing on the cultural-historical sphere, as a bridge for further rapprochement between the two countries.
