Today, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Commonwealth of the Bahamas, Honorable Darren A. Hentfield, received the Cuban Ambassador, Julio César González Marchante, to whom ratified the unrestricted support of the Bahamas to the lifting of the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States government to the people of Cuba, a position that was also expressed in a recent Declaration of the Caribbean Community CARICOM and that the country reiterated in the General Assembly of the United Nations.
The Cuban diplomat denounced the political and communicational campaign organized since de United States against Cuba.
In the cordial meeting, the Chancellor thanked the collaboration that Cuba provides to his country in areas such as health and education, and both parts ratified the willingness to continue expanding cooperation in sectors of mutual interest.
