Foreign Minister Lao condemns the blockade at the UN.
The Chancellor of the Lao PDR, Exmo.Sr. Saleumxay Commasith, in his speech at the United Nations General Assembly, stressed that the application of unilateral measures with extraterritorial implications is not only contrary to the principles of the Charter of the United Nations and International Law, but also affects the right to other countries. Consequently, he said, his delegation once again requested the elimination of the blockade against the Republic of Cuba in such a way that that sovereign country and its people could enjoy the freedom to participate in the economy and commercial relations with other countries under the Law International.
