Former Ghanaian minister expresses admiration for the social work of the Cuban Revolution

Mrs. Otiko Afisah Djaba, former Minister of Gender, Childhood and Social Protection, and Mr. Abdul Hamid Samed, president of the Institute for Peace and Progress, visited the Cuban Embassy where they were received by Ambassador Pedro Luis Despaigne González.

Mrs. Otiko expressed her interest in deepening her knowledge of Cuban experiences in gender issues and differentiated work in the education of disabled people, as she explained that through the "Henry Djaba" Foundation, which she chairs, she is carrying out community work in deprived areas of the country, aimed at improving the living conditions of women, the disabled and children without subsidiary protection.

The Cuban diplomat presented the agenda of transformations that in the field of gender has driven the Cuban Revolution, highlighting the role of women in sectors such as scientific research, health and education.

The First Secretary of the Embassy, ​​Julio César Sánchez, also participated in the meeting.
