The former President of Ghana, Flight Lieutenant, Jerry John Rawlings, sent a congratulatory message to Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez for his election as the new president of the Councils of State and Ministers of the Republic of Cuba.
The Ghanaian leader congratulates Díaz-Canel for the massive support received from the National Assembly of the Popular Power of Cuba, and adds that both Fidel and Raúl, his predecessors, guided Cuba in a very dignified manner and that they brought about changes aimed at introducing Cuba in the global dynamics, while protecting the great values of the Cuban Revolution and the Cuban people.
He also expressed that both the Cuban people and the friends of Cuba are optimistic that with their leadership will continue the protection of the unity that has guided the country since the advent of the Revolution in July 1953.
