Kuala Lumpur, September 18- Organized by the study center of latin american studies of University Malaya, the forum on Cuban medical cooperation, entitled "Cuba and global health" took place.
The foro has as speakers the Cuban ambassador to Malaysia, Ibete Fernández Hernández, Tan Sri Dr Abu Bakar Suleiman and Johan Indot, president and vice president of Bioven, the company that deals with the registration of CIMAVAX EGF in Asia and other countries and the doctors graduated in Cuba, Dr. Thanussa Francis and Dr Mathen Nair.
The Cuban ambassador explained about the formation and historical trajectory of the collaboration, as well as her achievements highlighting the principles of solidarity and humanism that guide it. She also denounced before the audience the United States campaign to discredit and boycott Cuban medical collaboration.
For their part, Bioven executives highlighted the excellence of the Cuban health system in the field of research and the product they are promoting, highlighting the fact that they are in phase III clinical trials with good results.
Malaysian doctors graduated from ELAM offered information on the primary health system and the quality of education in Cuba.
Medical students and university professors attended the fórum that was precede by the documentary “Salud”
