Vientiane, March 8, 2023.- The Cuban Ambassador H.E. Enna Viant Valdes thanked the Lao friends for the congratulations received on the occasion of International Women's Day. In the same way, she highlighted the sending of baskets of flowers, in particular the message conveyed by the president of the People´s Supreme Court, Comrade Viengthone Siphandone as well as the professors representing the Faculty of Letters of the Lao National University, where the achievements made by Cuban women, during more than 60 years of Revolution were exalted.
In a pleasant chat, they talked about the significance of March 8 and the momentum and growing role played by Cuban women in the tasks that transformed the socioeconomic panorama from January 1, 1959.
The diplomat expressed the pride of the Cuban diplomats and their work in the defense of Foreign Policy, while considering the work of others who defend from their positions the important tasks in science, health, agriculture, education, sports and in general in all spheres of today's society. For this reason, She concluded that received congratulations on behalf of all of them while extending her recognition to all women in the world, but in particular to Laos and Cuban women on such a significant date, in which they are united by common ideals and purposes in the construction of a more just, prosperous and sustainable socialist society.
