Oslo, Norway. - As part of an emotional activity held in this capital, Cubaforeningen i Norge Friendship Association welcomed the designated ambassador, Maite Rivero Torres, who arrived in Oslo in recent days.
The Cuban diplomat offered updated information on the situation in her country, highlighting the advances in the control of the epidemic, supported by a successful vaccination process that confirms the quality of Cuban biotechnology. She also referred to the upcoming opening of the borders and the gradual process of reviewing sanitary restrictions, which should lead to the new normality.
The participants in the event asked numerous questions, which served to comment on the progress made in the process of updating the economic model.
As usual, the members of Cubaforeningen i Norge ratified their rejection of the economic, commercial and financial blockade, as well as the persistent subversive campaign and interference in Cuban domestic affairs by the US government.
On behalf of ICAP, Ambassador Rivero Torres presented the president of Cubaforeningen i Norge with the commemorative medal for the 60th Anniversary of the Cuban Institute for Friendship with the Peoples, a recognition of a consistent and commendable work in support of the Cuban Revolution.
In this context, the declaration ¡Sí a la Bienal de La Habanal! was also introduced, calling on creators from all over the world to join in support of this event that fosters respectful, supportive and enriching exchange between cultures and peoples. (Embacuba Noruega)
