Fujairah, Monday March 13.- The Cuban Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates, Norberto Carlos Escalona Carrillo, visited the Chamber of Commerce and Industries of the Emirate of Fujairah, an attractive region bordering the Indian Ocean, notable for its deep-water port and its industrial potential. The representative was received by the Speaker of the Chamber, Sheikh Saeed Bin Sorour Al-Sharqui. Present at the meeting were the Director General of the commercial institution, Mr. Sultan Al-Hindaassi, and the Head of the Fujairah Center for Small Businesses, Mohammed Zaher Almadhaani. On the Cuban side, the Second Secretary of the Mission, Ailyn Martínez Sarduy, participated.
Escalona recognized the potential that Fujairah has to generate cooperation projects with the Chamber of Commerce of the Republic of Cuba and celebrated the recent meeting held in Doha by the Emir of Fujairah, Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al-Sharqi, with the Cuban Minister of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment, Rodrigo Malmierca.
In Fujairah, it was agreed to exchange useful information for a greater domain of the potential of Cuba and the United Arab Emirates, by sectors in terms of exports, and the creation of mutually beneficial alliances.
