Accra, 19 March 2025. - The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Ghana, H.E. Mr. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa held a fruitful exchange with his Cuban counterpart, H.E. Mr. Bruno Rodriguez on Wednesday evening.
During the meeting, which took place just after he had just returned from an urgent trip, the Ghanaian host and his Cuban counterpart had the opportunity to discuss their respective realities and issues of bilateral interest.
Minister Bruno thanked, on behalf of the Cuban people and government, Ghana's expressions of support, and in particular those of the African foreign minister, regarding the condemnation of the US blockade and the inclusion of Cuba on the list of state sponsors of terrorism. Foreign Minister Okudzeto assured that Cuba could always count on Ghana's support and expressed deep appreciation for Cuba’s imprint both on the continent and in Ghana. He extended special thanks to the Cuban medical professionals, whom he holds in high regard for their dedication, selflessness, and commitment to saving lives.
