Ghanaian Foreign Minister meets Cuban Ambassador

The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration of the Republic of Ghana, H.E. Mrs. Hanna Serwaa Tetteh received the Ambassador of Cuba, Mr. Pedro L. González Despaigne, who submitted her the Open Letters of his Letters of Credence.

After the delivering of the document they held a meeting where were evoked the close ties that unite both countries. It was also reflected the will to take bilateral relations to a higher position.

The Cuban Ambassador also delivered two letters sent by the Cuban Foreign Minister, H.E. Mr. Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla to the Ghanaian counterpart, thanking the Government's support for the resolution against the blockade adopted at the UN General Assembly in October 2015, as well as greeting Ghanaians for the 59 anniversary of their independence.

They were also at the meeting, the Chief of Protocol, Mr. Joseph Agoe and the Director of the Bureau for the Americas of the Foreign Ministry, while by the Cuban side was the First Secretary of the Embassy, Mr. Tomás Méndez Parra.
