For the third consecutive time, the Trades Union Congress (TUC) of Ghana participates in the Solidarity Program with Cuba, which organizes the Cuban Institute for Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP) as part of the commemoration of International Workers' Day.
On this occasion, the presence of the brigadistas is the scenario of the intensification of the interventionist actions of the current US administration, as recently denounced in his Press Conference, the Cuban Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla.
The group of Ghanaian trade unionists, since their arrival in Cuba have been inserted along with other brigadistas from Africa and the rest of the world in a set of activities, in which they will combine the knowledge of important historical places in four Cuban provinces, with the exchanges with representatives of the main mass organizations, and with the participation in productive works.
The presence of the Ghanaian trade unionists is also part of the celebrations for the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations, by two leaders of international stature, the Dr. Kwame Nkrumah and the Commander in Chief, Fidel Castro.
