Kingston, 4 December 2024. Half a hundred students from Glenmuir High School, located in the May Pen region, visited the Embassy of Cuba in Jamaica.
During their exchange with Cuban diplomats, they expanded their knowledge of the life and labours of Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro Ruz, our National Hero José Martí and the Bronze Titan Antonio Maceo. They exchanged on the characteristics that identify the Cuban health and education systems, as well as geography, architecture, music and dance. They also showed interest in the advances made by Cuban women in the parliamentary and biotechnological fields.
This activity is part of the actions undertaken by a Cuban resident in Jamaica, Eurania Romero Martínez, to bring her students closer to the history and culture of our country.
