The Cuban ambassador, Sergio Vigoa de la Uz, chaired a meeting convened by the Namibian Foreign Ministry, with the objective of reviewing the status of collaboration between both countries.
With the assistance of ministries and organizations that maintain cooperative relations with the Island, Ambassador Sabine Böhlke-Möller, Head of the Department of Bilateral Affairs and Cooperation, who led the meeting, expressed interest in advancing the pending agreements and urged the counterpart of Namibia to maintain permanent attention in favor of its compliance.
The collaboration between both States was elevated to the level of an Intergovernmental Commission, in response to an agreement between Presidents Hage Geingob and Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, during the state visit of the Cuban president to Namibia in August 2023.
The Cuban ambassador thanked the Foreign Ministry for systematically developing this type of meetings and assured that in a short time the economic-commercial relationship will be at a higher point, as our governments wish and need.
